"Indian Cinema Now" will
showcase seven films from different Indian languages in the 17th International Film Festival of Kerala
(IFFK) to be held here from December 7 to 14. 'Chitrangada' (The Crownish
Wish/Bengali) by Rituparno Ghosh, 'Cosmic Sex' (Amitabh Chakraborty-Bengali),
'Samhita' (Sumitra Bhave-Sunil Sukhtandar/Marathi), 'Shabdo' (Sound/Kaushik
Ganguly/Bengali), Tears of Nandigram (Sarfaraz Alam Shyamal Karmakar/Bengali),
'Cheeka' (The Crier/ Adeyapartha Rajan/Hindi) and 'Bandhon' (Waves of
Silence/Jahnu Barua/Assamese) are the films included in the 'Indian Cinema Now'
section
