The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy has finalised the main Jury for the current edition of the 21 st IFFK.

Michel
Khleifi is an Arab (born in Israel) film writer, director and producer,
presently based in Belgium. He has received several awards, including the
International Critics’ Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, the Golden Shell at
San Sebastián International Film Festival and the André Cavens Award in 1987
for his film Wedding in Galilee. Khleifi currently teaches at INSAS.
SEEMA BISWAS

Biswas is an Indian film and theatre actress from Assam who shot into
prominence with the role of Phoolan Devi in Shekhar Kapur's film Bandit Queen
(1994) Biswas won the 1996 National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in
the film Bandit Queen.
SERIK APRYMOV

Serik Aprymov
is a filmmaker and writer from Kazakhstan. Following his military service, he
took up film studies in directing at the Moscow Film School (VGIK). He was one
of the young Kazakh talents who attended the workshop of well-known Russian
director Sergei Solovyov in 1989. The first feature film of Aprymov, Kijan
(Last Stop) (1992), received international acclaim but angered the natives of
his village, who were shocked at his portrayal of their lives. Aprymov's second
film was never released, but his third feature, properly named Aksuat (1998),
revealed again his keen eye for realistic detail and was successful at the 1998
Eurasia Film Festival in Almaty
BARAN KOSARI

Kosari is an Award winning Iranian actress, model and designer. The Best Papa
of the World (1991) was her first acting experiment. Since then she has
appeared in some of the films of her mother Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, Nargess
(1991), The Blue-Veiled (1994), Ordibehesht Lady (1997), Kish Stories (Rain and
Landsman episode - 1998), Under The Skin Of The City (2000), Our Times etc.
PEDRO PIMENTA

Pedro
Pimenta is the Programme Director of Durban Film Festival. Pedro Pimenta
started his career with the National Film Institute of Mozambique in 1977.
Since then, he has produced numerous short fictions, documentaries and feature
films in Mozambique, Angola, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and South Africa. He is the
founder and Director of DOCKANEMA Film Festival in Mozambique.
