Fifth edition of International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) inaugurated


Gautham Ghosh , renowned film maker from West Bengal inaugurated the fifth edition of International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) organized by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy  in Thiruvananthapuram. .He appreciated the initiative and interest of  the audience from this part of the country in supporting good films and its aesthetics."The Chalachitra Academy's initiative for organizing this festival is really commendable. No television channel in the country sets apart time slot for airing documentaries and short films," he said. V S Siva kumar ,Heath Minister of the State presided over the inaugural function in which the Bulgarian director Adele Peeva and Adoor Gopalakrishnan were  also present. The highlight of this edition of IDSFFK is the packages devoted for Afghan, Estonian and African short films. Gandhimathi Balan,Vice Chairman ,Beena Paul, Deputy Director and Manoj Kumar, Secretary spoke on the occasion. Retold by Loknath directed by Rajula Shah was the inaugural film.
