42 nd IFFI 2011- 8 FILMS IN THE RACE FOR SUVARNA -RAJATHA MAYOORAM PRIZES.

The Jury of the 42nd IFFI has already finalized the awards according to press reports .The award would certainly be the mirror reflection of the film culture and aesthetics of the Jury. While the anxiety is mounting ,the delegates and critics having long standing festival experiences have shortlisted eight films out of fourteen to win one of the five coveted Peacock awards. They are Hanezu (Japan) , Elena (Russia), Oranges and Sunshine (Ireland), , Nader and Simin – A Separation( Iran ), ,Porfirio (Columbia) ,Restoration( Israel), Abu,Son of Adam (India), The End is My Beginning (Germany)
