42 nd IFFI 2011-Lifetime Achievement Award to Eminent French Film Maker Bertrand Tavernier
The Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to the eminent French Film Maker Bertrand Tavernier at the inauguration of the 42nd International Film Festival of India -2011 on 23rd November 2011 in Goa. The Lifetime Achievement Award carries an amount of Rs. 10 lakh, a scroll and a ertificate.Bertrand Tavernier is best known for his films ‘Prix Louis Delluc’ and the ‘Silver Bear’ as well as Special Jury Prize award winner of his film ‘The Clockmaker’ at the 24th Berlin International Film Festival. Bertrand Tavernier has to his credit acclaimed films like ‘Life and Nothing But’ which won the BEFTA for best film in a language other than English in 1990 and ‘The Princess of Montpensier’ which competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
