Ivan Passer (ivan passer)- Chairperson (Czech Republic, USA) - internationally acclaimed Writer and Director .His noted films are ,A loves of a blonde (1965) and Fireman’s blonde (1967). He has received Special Prize for Outstanding Contribution to World Cinema at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
Larry Smith - Member (UK) - internationally acclaimed Cinematographer and Director, best known for his collaborations with director Nicolas Winding Refn and Stanley Kubrick..
Lordan Zafranovic (lordan zafra-novich) - Member (Croatia) - internationally acclaimed Writer and Director.  He started his feature film career by directing film, Sunday (1969). His documentaries Eyes of Beijing (2003) and China’s Terracotta Warriors (2003) won awards for best director at the Belgrade Festival of Documentary and short film. Documentary and experimental film Symphony of the Heaven City (2004) won the UNESCO Prize for the best documentary in 2004
Nagesh Kukunoor - Member (India) -A well known film maker from India  Hyderabad Blues 1&2, Rockford, Iqbal and Dor are some of his most acclaimed films.
Leila Kilani (Laila Kilani) - Member (Morocco) - She is a director and writer, known for Sur La Planche (2011), Tangier, the Burners' Dream (2003), Our Forbidden Places (2008).

Two Indian Films: ‘Ishti’ and ‘Sahaj Paather Gappo’ (Colours of Innocence),  will also compete for the prestigious Peacock awards.

4th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF).“Remember” Canadian-German thriller won "Best Feature Film .

Canadian film Remember won the best feature film award and its star Christopher Plummer grabbed the best actor award at the fourth Hanoi International Film (HANIFF) that closed in the capital city on November 5.

THE FOURTH HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL(HANIFF),2016

 The Fourth Hanoi International Film Festival  is being held in Hanoi ,the capital city of Vietnam from  November 1 st  to  5 th 2016 in Hanoi. This  is a major cultural event, a festival of film makers all over the world with the participation of 146 films from 43 countries and territories.

In the evening of November 5th,  the award ceremony and closing function  will   take place at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace. A jury of eminent film personalities under the Chairmanship of Regis Wargnier will decide the winners among 11 feature length  films .

Régis Wargnier directed his first film “La femme de ma vie” in 1986. His biggest success was back in 1993 when his film “Indochine” was priced with the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 65th Academy Awards.

Geraldine Chaplin

Hollywood Actress; United States of America
Geraldine Chaplin is the daughter of famous Charlie Chaplin and started her own career with her first role in “Limelight” at the age of 8. In 1966, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as New Star of the Year-Actress. In 1982, she was a member of the Jury in Cannes and in 2011 she acted as the president of the Jury for the Moscow International Film Festival.

   Director, producer, script writer; India
  Adoor Gopalakrishnan is one of India’s finest filmmakers. In 1972, he  produced      his first full-length film “Swayamvaram” which became one of the major films of the Indian New Wave. He won several national and international awards, amongst others the British Film Institute Award in 1982 for “Elippathayam” and the Indian National Award for Best Film in 1995 for “Kathapurushan”.

    Maria Izadora Calzado

     Actress; Philippines

Maria Izadora Calzado has featured in various films, she hosted some shows herself and was on multiple magazine covers, for exemple Women’s health or Cosmopolitan Magazine. Over the past years, she won numerous prizes for her acting. Iza Calzado is also a National Ambassador of World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines.

   Director, Vietnam
He had been teaching in Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema from 1973 to 1977, then he has worked at Vietnam Feature Film Studio since 1980. In his entire 24-year-career, he has played and directed over 80 of feature films and video feature films, and has achieved many great awards in Vietnam National Film Festivals as well as Golden Kites Awards of Vietnam Cinema Association. The film he directed “The Song about the Musician in Thang Long royal Citadel” (Vietnamese: Long Thanh Cam gia Ca) scooped the Golden Kite awards with four awards : Best Feature Film Award, Best Scriptwriter Award, Best Designer Award and Best Actress Award in the Golden Kite Awards 2010.

The 18th Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival-David Chou's Diamond Island won Golden Gateway Award in International Competition.

The Jio Mami 18th Mumbai Film Festival has come to a close last evening. The ceremony which took place at Bal Gandharva Rangmandir, Bandra, saw a galaxy of  stars and celebrities attending the function .Winners under various categories were announced.
