The 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India has a grand opening ceremony at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, in Panaji, Goa .The National Film Development Corporation and Entertainment Society of Goa, are hosting this edition of the film festival which showcases a bundle of 280 films from 79 countries. 25 features and 20 non-feature films from the Indian Panorama section .The opening ceremony of the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was held in the shore of river Mandovi ,Panaji.Goa on the 20th November, Sunday. “International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has become a platform for film directors from all over the world to showcase their work. I am sure, India will become a hub for co-production, post-production, film shooting and also for the technology partners”, said Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth affairs & Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur on the occassion.
Opening film Alma and Oskar, directed by Dieter Berner from Austria was screened before the opening ceremony . Anurag Singh Thakur noted that this is the first time, an opening film is being screened before the opening ceremony in IFFI. Every year we are trying to do something different- from 75 Young Creative Minds of Tomorrow initiative to world premieres.
Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, Secretary Ministry of I & B Apurva Chandra, along with cast and crew of Alma and Oskar attended the grand screening of the movie at INOX, Panaji, Goa.
Ajay Devgn, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Bajpayee, Kartik Aaryan, Suniel Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan and Mrunal Thakur among others attended the opening ceremony of the 53rd IFFI.Austrian movie Alma and Oskar, directed by Dieter Berner, was the opening film . Indian Film Personality of the Year 2022 award went to Telugu actor Chiranjeevi. .Spanish director Carlos Saura's daughter accepted the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award on his behalf.
ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അന്തർദേശിയ ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവത്തിന്റെ (IFFI)യുടെ 53-ാം പതിപ്പിന് ഗോവന്‍ തലസ്ഥാനമായ പനാജിയിലെ മാണ്ഡോവി നദി കരയിലെ പനാജിയിൽ തുടക്കമായി . ശ്യാമപ്രസാദ് മുഖര്‍ജി സ്‌റ്റേഡിയത്തിലെ ഉദ്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങില്‍ ബോളിവുഡ്താരങ്ങളെ കുത്തിനിറച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് സംഘാടകര്‍. 79 രാജ്യത്തുനിന്നായി 280 സിനിമ ഇക്കുറി മേളയിലുണ്ട്. ഓസ്ട്രിയൻ ചിത്രം ‘അല്‍മ ആന്‍ഡ് ഓസ്‌കര്‍' ആയിരുന്നു ഉദ്ഘാടന ചിത്രം. സുവര്‍ണ മയൂരത്തിനായി മൂന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിനിമയടക്കം 15 ചിത്രം മത്സരിക്കുന്നു. സത്യജിത്‌ റേയുടെ കഥയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി ദേശീയപുരസ്കാര ജേതാവും തൃശൂര്‍ സ്വദേശിയുമായ ചലച്ചിത്രകാരന്‍ ആനന്ദ് മഹാദേവന്‍ ഒരുക്കിയ ബംഗാളിചിത്രം ദി സ്‌റ്റോറി ടെല്ലര്‍, തമിഴ് സിനിമ കുരങ്ങു പെഡല്‍ എന്നിവയും മത്സരവിഭാഗത്തിലുണ്ട്. സംഘപരിവാര്‍ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടില്‍ കശ്മീര്‍ പശ്ചാത്തലം വിവരിക്കുന്ന ‘കശ്മീര്‍ ഫയല്‍'സും മത്സരവിഭാഗത്തില്‍ കുത്തിത്തിരുകി നാഗ്പൂരിനെ സംഘാടകർ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തി .
ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പനോരമയുടെ കഥാവിഭാഗത്തില്‍ അറിയിപ്പ് (മഹേഷ് നാരായണന്‍), സൗദി വെള്ളയ്ക്ക (തരുണ്‍ മൂര്‍ത്തി) എന്നിവ ഇടംപിടിച്ചു. ദേശീയ പുരസ്കാര ജേതാവായ പ്രിയനന്ദനന്‍ ഇരുള ഭാഷയില്‍ ഒരുക്കിയ 'ധാബരി കുരുവി' ഇവയുണ്ട് .അഖില്‍ ദേവ് ഒരുക്കിയ വീട്ടിലേക്ക്‌ കഥേതര വിഭാഗത്തിലുണ്ട്. വിനോദ് മങ്കരയുടെ സംസ്‌കൃത ഡോക്യുമെന്ററി യാനം, മലയാളിയായ ജേക്കബ് വര്‍ഗീസ് ഒരുക്കിയ ആയുഷ്മാന്‍ എന്നിവയും ഈ വിഭാഗത്തിലുണ്ട്.
