New Board of FIPRESCI- the International Federation of Film Critics

FIPRESCI - the International Federation of Film Critics - held its annual meeting at the Bari International Film Festival (BIFEST, April 5-12, 2014). During the meeting, its new board was elected. 
President: Alin Tasciyan (Turkey)
Vice-Presidents: Dana Linssen (The Netherlands), György Kárpáti (Hungary) 
The former president Jean Roy has been appointed Honorary President. 
Alin Tasciyan began working for the "Milliyet Art Review" and "Milliyet daily" newspaper in 1992, as correspondent, film critic and editor. Since 2008, she has been a critic and columnist for the "Star" daily newspaper. She advises and programs many film festivals in Turkey. 
Dana Linssen started writing film criticism for the Dutch Daily Newspaper NRC Handelsblad in 1997 and became editor-in-chief and later co-publisher of the Dutch independent monthly film magazine "de Filmkrant" in 1998. Currently she combines these two jobs with a part-time post as a lecturer of film history and analysis. 
György Kárpáti is the regular film critic and correspondent for "Magyar Nemzet", Hungary's second biggest national daily. He is an assistant professor at Pazmany Peter Catholic University within the Institute of Communication and Media Sciences.
