The
names of awardees has been announced during the closing ceremony of the 6th
International Documentary & Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) which
was held from June 7-11 in Thiruvananthapuram announced its winners. The closing
ceremony was inaugurated by Ommen Chandy ,Chief Minister of Kerala. K.C.Joseph,
Minister for Culture, Dr M.K.Muneer, Minister for Panchayat ,Priyadarsan ,K.B .Ganeshkumar ,etc attended the
closing ceremony.

Subasri Krishnan won the bestshort
documentary film. The short documentary award carried a cash prize of Rs.
50,000/-.To Let
directed by Spandan Banerjee won the Best Documentary award .The best long
documentary award carried cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a certificate. Ningal Aranaye Kando?
directed by Sunanda Bhat won a Special Mention in this category. Ridiculous directed
by Abhishek K S won the award for the Best Campus Film with a cash prize of Rs.
20,000/ and a certificate to the creative team. The Special Mention in the
campus film section went to Who
am I? directed by John Lango. In the music video category, The Drowning Song
directed by Sandhya Daisy Sundaram was adjudged the Best Music Video with a
cash prize of Rs. 25,000/ and a certificate .Jury made a special mention to Balikkurrippu
directed by Sathyan Odessa. The recognition for the best animation film went to
Black O’ White
jointly directed by Jithin Das and Sibin Anto with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/
and a certificate A Special Mention for short fiction went to Bhinti Maage (Behind
the Wall) directed by Vishwesh Kolwalkar.Sourav Sarangi, who turned cameraman
for his documentary
CHAR- the No Man’s Island was bestowed with the Navroze Contractor
award for the Best Cinematographer
