Official Jury at the 58th San Sebastian Festival announced
Goran Paskaljevic to chair the Official Jury at the 58th San Sebastian Festival. The Serbian filmmaker, Goran Paskaljevic, with 45 films to his name, is a regular at the major festivals. He won the Fipresci Prize at Venice Festival and at the European Film Awards with Powder Keg (1998). He has participated in San Sebastian Festival twice: in 1990 with Vreme Cuda (Time of Miracles), which carried off the Fipresci Prize, and in 2004 with San zimske noci (Midwinter Night’s Dream), winner of the Special Jury Prize.The make-up artist, Jo Allen, actor José Coronado, directors Claudia Llosa, Raya Martin, Pablo Trapero and Lucy Walker are the other six members of the Official Jury. ''Elle s'appelait Sarah (Sarah’s Key)'', by the French filmmaker Gilles Paquet-Brenner, will be the closing film in the 58th San Sebastian Festival. ''Poetry'' and ''Barney’s Version'' will respectively open and close Zabaltegi-Pearls.Actress Olivia Williams will receive the Fipresci Gran Prix for Roman Polanski’s ''The Ghost Writer'' at the opening gala. Hans Petter Moland, Sebastián Cordero and Danis Tanovic will chair the New Directors, Horizontes and International Film Students Meetings, respectively.
