AMOUR (Love) by Michael Haneke won the Palme d'Or in 65th Festival de Cannes

Rezan Yesilbas Camera d' Or BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD by Benh Zeitlin presented in Un Certain Regard Selection Award for Best Screenplay Cristian Mungiu for pour Dupã dealuri (Beyond The Hills) The Jury of the CST has awarded the "PRIX VULCAIN DE L’ARTISTE-TECHNICIEN" to: Charlotte Bruss CHRISTENSEN, for the outstanding cinematography of the film JAGTEN (The Hunt) byThomas VINTERBERG .Claude Miller’s Thérèse Desqueyroux starring Audrey Tautou, Gilles Lellouche and Anaïs Demoustier, was screened at the end of the ceremony.

Un Certain Regard Section of FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2012 presented 20 films directed by 26 directors hailing from 17 different countries. Four of the works were first films.Presided over by Tim ROTH (actor, director), the Jury was comprised of Leïla BEKHTI (actress), Sylvie PRAS (head of cinema - Centre Pompidou Paris, artistic director - La Rochelle Festival), Tonie MARSHALL (director, producer) and Luciano MONTEAGUDO (critic - Pagina/12 - Buenos Aires). Carlos Diegues, Brazilian filmmaker , to chair the jury for the Caméra D’or award of 65th Festival de Cannes.

Carlos Diegues, Brazilian filmmaker has been nominated as the chairperson of the jury for 65th Festival de Cannes Caméra D’or award.Carlos will be accompanied by Gloria Satta, journalist , Rémy Chevrin, representing the French Association of Film Cinematographers, Hervé Icovic, of the Federation of of Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries, Michel Andrieu, representing the Society of Film Directors and Francis Gavelle, for the French Union of Film Critics. Bong Joon-Ho, Gael García Bernal, Roschdy Zem and Abbas Kiarostami were the past chairpersons in the Cannes Camera D’or jury.

60th edition of the San Sebastian Festival launches the I. Europe-Latin America Co-production Forum

The San Sebastian Festival launches the I. Europe-Latin America Co-production Forum, to take place on september 27 and 28 at the Festival’s 60th edition.This year’s San Sebastian Festival launches the I. Europe-Latin America Co-production Forum, thereby consolidating its position as a benchmark platform and hub between both film worlds. This Forum is an opportunity to promote projects of greater magnitude and strengthen the European and Latin American industries by encouraging cooperation between professionals and opening out to new international markets.The Co-production Forum is open to feature film projects from Europe and Latin America with a minimum duration of 60 minutes and 20% of their financing already assured. European projects must have a direct connection with Latin America. The Festival will select a maximum of 20 projects based on the reports of three international experts. Deadline for project registration: 30 June 2012.
